What is VCA?
VCA stands for Veiligheid, Gezondheid en Milieu Checklist Aannemers (Safety, Health and Environment Checklist for Contractors). It is a certification scheme by which companies demonstrate that they work safely, healthily and with environmental awareness β particularly when carrying out high-risk work in industrial environments.
VCA is not legislation, but it is often a contractual requirement in tenders or by clients.
It is intended for executing companies, self-employed contractors and hirers active in sectors such as engineering, construction, petrochemicals, energy, offshore, infrastructure and installation.
